High performance image sensors, with low Size, Weight and Power (low SWaP), yet also very cost-effective are needed by military and security services. These sensors are used to detect, identify, and recognize threats while minimizing collateral damage and provide the ability to work in GPS denied environments. Princeton Infrared Technologies (PIRT) provides its military customers with fast image rates, high sensitivity, no image lag, and high linearity combined with high resolution (small pixels and mega-pixel high-definition images). For instance, PIRT is executing several contracts to develop sensors for munitions to track targets and guide flight to targets both stationary and moving. We are also developing sensors for hypervelocity systems providing those systems with the ability to “see” their targets under harsh conditions of high g launch and flight.
